A700 Review By -Mr.Devie with DSLR-

Sony Alpha A700 12.24MP Digital SLR Camera with 16-105mm Lens

With its 12.3 mpx, the camera body “tropicalized” to withstand rain and dust and an image stabilizer built the A700 is a real gem sold out the modest sum of $1,599.99 dollars with 16-105mm Lens.

As a portrait photographer I used an alpha 700 for about a year and a half before switching to Nikon for reasons linked to the availability of assistance and material used,

And I must say that this machine has served me exceptionally in most occasions.

Excellent image quality up to ISO 400 and acceptable up to 1600 and a range of battery “real” that allows more than 400 shots (provided the battery to handle the textbook) are two of the greatest strengths of this machine.

But the pride of the Alpha 700 is, in my opinion, the stabilizer integrated with the machine that allows a bit of training to take pictures by hand with long exposure times (up to 1 / 6 of a second with my old 20mm).

Right signal to stop, that the packaging of the camera body includes a wireless remote control accessory for other leading brands such as Canon and Nikon is not sold for less than 48 dollars.

Personally I would not recommend to a young professional photographer to embark in the purchase of an alpha 700 for several reasons among which

- the low availability of material used and
- a signal to noise ratio is not exceptional when compared with their machines on the same price range (see Nikon D 90 or Canon EOS 50D)

for everyone else, you end up with a device intended to remain in his hands a lot and for a long time (especially if combined with a good lens as the 16-105mm) and that will give you great satisfaction.
