Nikon D3x 24.5MP FX Digital SLR

Olympus Evolt E500 8MP Digital SLR with Zuiko 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 Digital SLR Lens

The opinion that I can give is that this is a very useful model suitable for both beginners and amateurs.

We are not the levels of the top models of the Nikon or Canon brand, but this is placed above the basic models of these brands.

Picture Quality : depend crucially on the quality optics used. The 10-megapixel sensor is more than enough occasions to grow even 50×70 posters.

The sensor presents no problems of noise and it can be easily used up to 400 ISO without significant loss of image quality.

The white balance can certainly melgar in post-processing on the PC.
The lens supplied is good with good detail.

For the more demanding there are many lenses: macro, zoom, bright, wide and powerful telephoto lens. But all worth considering, in addition to basic optics,  you can purchase an additional 55-200 zoom (Pentax or Sigma) or 70-300 (Sigma or Tamron) all F 4-5.6.

The lens also get to do basic shooting macro close to having a recovery ratio of 3:1. With two optical fixed-length I was even more satisfying, although not autofocus.

DEFECTS
only bad thing is the difficulty in finding the user manual, albeit with a little patience you can find and use the machine is not very intuitive, easy to turn it on and take pictures, but all other functionality is quite difficult to use without manual

I state that I have not got to try this new gem of the Nikon, I just took a dozen pictures to the seller that has made me feel a bit ‘to find a few qualities that both defects. Being a Nikon but are ’safe and that’ a good product.
Practically and ‘younger sister of D50, which my friend and I have extensively tested. With excellent and satisfactory results.

Basically only small differences from the older sister, and that means‘, an LCD screen is much more ‘high resolution and much more’ high, three areas of auto focus (D40) against 5 of d50, enhancement and management software image manipulation (the d50 is beginning to have about 2 years as a model and had no improvements), a weight and a physical size smaller than the D50, making it much more ‘handy and compact.

For the rest it would seem virtually identical to the older sister, especially on a 6.1 million pixel CMOS, if not for one small detail that no one among the six retailers that I have consulted the various forums and blogs, including the official website Nikon, explain in words from ordinary mortals.

We assume that being an entry level model, and ‘for all those who approach the world of photography and those who want to switch from analogue, like me, to digital without spending a fortune.
