The K20D’s development on behalf of the K10D is designed to improve its weaknesses the resolution was increased, up to 14.6 Megapixels, also body has been greatly improved (K20D has all the buttons sealed against moisture and dust).

The system was installed rechargeable lithium battery and AA batteries.
